Yokohama

I decided to stay here because there was a concert next door the next day. Actually, it wasn't too crowded. There were even lounge chairs in the rest area. If you're lucky, you might see oil tankers delivering hot spring water, which is really cool. However, be aware that the food here is quite expensive, and there's a 500 yen seating fee. But the food is good. It happened to be snowing in Yokohama the day I went, and because it's outdoors, it was really cold outside, but it was still quite fun. I recommend staying overnight if there's a concert next door (there's an extra 2500 yen overnight fee, but it's really convenient since it's just across a bridge, and you can shower at night without worrying about smells).

Ticket collection was convenient. For some reason, we couldn't get off at Shinjuku Station, so we had to get off early and find another train. The seats were comfortable, spacious, and the luggage storage area was sufficient. Highly recommended!

As it was a hassle to travel to the airport with young kids and teens and few big luggage , I decided to opt for easier solution by catering transport from KKday a day before my departure. It’s easy and convenient to book for the service. Once booked, an email with invoice was sent. A driver, Bao was assigned and he provided great service. He was polite and friendly, always smiling, proactive in messaging to confirm the pick-up point and timing, quick to assist to handle the luggage and arrived punctually for the pick-up. Worth to get the service .

I took the train from Pier Akarenga Warehouse to the East Exit of Yokohama Station. The afternoon cruise was running until 3:30 PM, so I was worried about whether I could catch the Sea Bus at 3:45 PM, but I was able to. There were no special events on December 28th, so if there are events, you might not be able to catch the train. The view of Yokohama was beautiful. There was no rocking, so it was nice. It was a great memory.
