Rome: create your own rug with tufting!｜Italy

Enjoy a contemporary craftsmanship experience in the heart of the city. This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the art of tufting, a modern and accessible technique that will allow you to transform a wool yarn into a real personalized rug. Under the guidance of an expert craftsman, you'll learn how to use the technical equipment and see your idea take shape, step by step.

Send us the design you want to create by the day before. If you don't have a specific idea, we'll help you choose a suitable one!

You will have a wide range of wool yarns at your disposal. You will be free to select your preferred shades and combine the colors to give your work the look you want!

Before starting on the final yarn, you will become familiar with the tufting gun. You will learn to adjust the pressure, manage the movements, and fill in the color areas with complete confidence.

Once you have mastered the technique, you will move on to creating your rug on the vertical canvas, with assistance throughout the session.
Once the weaving is complete, the rug requires a final technical processing phase that includes applying glue to the back, attaching the support fabric, trimming, and finishing the details.

Please note: To ensure the materials dry properly, the rug will be completed and ready for pick-up 24 hours after the end of the workshop. If you are traveling, you can schedule collection for the next day or arrange for shipping.

No previous experience in the textile industry or in drawing is required to take part.

Those with long hair are advised to use a hair tie.
