The entrance to head up to the rooftop is located at the North Gate, which is very clearly marked and easy to find. The staff members were friendly and helpful.
We visited early in the morning, which allowed us to get inside quickly without having to wait in any long lines. After enjoying the incredible views from the top, we were able to take the interior stairs straight down into the cathedral to continue our visit. Highly recommended to start your day here early!
The Vatican Museums and Cathedrals are very large. Guided tours not only allow for faster customs clearance but also provide explanations of the collections, enabling visitors to better understand the Vatican's cultural history.
Guide Lu's explanations were clear, well-structured, and the process smooth, making the tour engaging and enjoyable. He also understood tourists' needs for taking photos and promptly pointed out the best vantage points. He is one of the best guides I've encountered in Rome so far. The customer service staff were also excellent, providing detailed information about the meeting point from the beginning and promptly assisting with any difficulties encountered. This is truly an activity you must participate in; highly recommended!
