Product Info

Discover the essential highlights of Gdańsk on a 3‑hour walking tour designed for first‑time visitors. Led by a licensed local guide, this route takes you through the most iconic streets, squares and waterfronts of the Old Town — offering a perfect introduction to the city’s history, architecture and maritime heritage.

Start at the Coal Market, where you’ll see the impressive Great Armoury and learn how Gdańsk became one of the richest cities of the Hanseatic League. Continue to the Golden Gate, passing the former city fortifications, the Prison Tower and the Torture Chamber.

Walk along Ulica Długa, the city’s most elegant street, lined with colourful merchant houses and stories of wealthy patrician families. Arrive at Długi Targ, home to the Neptune Fountain, the Main Town Hall, the Artus Court and the Golden House — the most photographed landmarks in Gdańsk.

From here, head to the Green Gate and stroll along the scenic Motława waterfront, where the medieval Crane stands as a reminder of the city’s maritime power. Continue to the charming Mariacka Street, famous for its decorative porches and amber workshops.

Enter the magnificent St. Mary’s Basilica, the largest brick church in the world. Your guide will show you its Gothic interior, the astronomical clock and the most important artworks.

Optional upgrade: climb the St. Mary’s Tower for a breathtaking panoramic view of Gdańsk.

This tour is perfect for travellers who want to see the city’s top highlights in a single, well‑paced experience.
