Depart from Lucerne in the morning as the city slowly wakes behind you and the road opens toward the Bernese Oberland. Gentle hills, open meadows and distant peaks set a calm rhythm for the day ahead.
Your first stop is Lake Lungern, where still water mirrors forested slopes and sky. The air is quiet, clean, and unhurried — a perfect beginning.
The journey continues to Brienz, a lakeside village famous for its woodcarving tradition and relaxed promenade. From here, the road follows the edge of Lake Brienz, a stretch of pure cinema with turquoise water below and dramatic mountains rising on both sides.
Arriving in Interlaken, you have time to stroll through parks, enjoy a coffee and take in views toward the Jungfrau range. From here, the route turns west along Lake Thun. The road weaves through cliffs and tunnels, with flashes of deep-blue water and snowy peaks appearing between each curve.
A highlight awaits in Sigriswil Panorama Bridge. Suspended high above the valley, the bridge offers sweeping views across Lake Thun, with alpine walls on one side and open horizons on the other — one of the most striking viewpoints in the region.
Next comes Thun, a medieval town shaped by water and stone. Walk along the river, explore the old streets and look up to Thun Castle, watching quietly over the town.
A short drive leads to Spiez, where Schloss Spiez rises above vineyards and lake — an ideal photo stop and a moment to pause.
Hidden in a forested valley lies Blausee. Its name means “Blue Lake,” and the color is unforgettable — crystal-clear, luminous and almost unreal. Here you can walk the paths around the water or enjoy a relaxed lunch surrounded by nature.
Before returning, the day ends gently in Iseltwald. The wooden pier, calm water and mountain reflections create a quiet, timeless finale.
By the time you return to Lucerne, you will have crossed multiple lakes, valleys and landscapes — not rushing through Switzerland, but truly experiencing its balance, beauty and calm.
