Step into the historic heart of Yogyakarta and discover Kotagede, the former capital of the Mataram Sultanate, on a 2.5-hour guided walking tour.

From the meeting point, explore Kotagede’s rich royal heritage and local culture on foot. Visit Masjid Gedhe Mataram and Kotagede Royal Cemetery, then continue to Sendang Selirang and the traditional neighborhood of Taman Kampung Wisata Purbayan. Wander through the unique Between Two Gates and Lorong Labirin, where narrow lanes and traditional homes offer a glimpse into everyday life in old Kotagede.
Continue to Rumah Indische, followed by Watu Gilang and Beteng Cepuri, where you can discover remnants of Kotagede’s early royal settlement and hear stories about the history of the Mataram Sultanate.
