Just over an hour outside of Las Vegas, Nevada’s first state park will welcome you with natural beauty and a peaceful environment.

The Valley of Fire is full of vibrant, red Aztec Sandstone outcrops nestled among gray and tan limestone mountains. The sandstone from the Jurassic period is the remnant of the sand left behind by the wind after inland seas subsided and the land rose.

Enjoy stopping at a number of unique sites such as the Beehives, White Domes, Elephant Rock, Mouse’s Tank, Rainbow Vista, and others.

Stop at the visitor center to learn about the area’s geology, wildlife, and local history. Walk the steps at Atlatl Rock to see the petroglyphs before departing back to Las Vegas for drop-off.
