Your clients deserve more than a walk between restaurants. This is a refined, small-group experience through Downtown Kansas City. Seven hand-picked tastings guided by a local food specialist who knows every venue, every dish, and every story behind both. The kind of afternoon that becomes the highlight of the trip.
It starts at Union Station, the Beaux-Arts landmark that once moved more passengers than any station in America, and ends with a specialty chocolate that closes three hours of Downtown KC exactly as they should be closed. Everything in between is deliberate.
This is not a highlights reel. Every stop is locally owned, every dish connects to something real, and every guide knows the difference between a good story and a great one. Your clients will leave understanding why Kansas City food hits differently from anywhere else in America.
Seven tastings, sequenced to build. Beef burnt end stew first, the slow-smoked KC original, served in a form you won't find replicated anywhere else in the world. Then The Standard Sandwich at a neighbourhood institution locals have been relying on for years. A Ham & Pear Ciabatta adds a lighter note before the pace shifts entirely: guests board the Kansas City Streetcar for a short ride to the Secret Dish, a rooftop venue where a perfectly caramelised Kouign-Amann is waiting. The tour closes with a specialty chocolate finale that earns its place at the end of a very good afternoon.
Tastings: Beef Burnt End Stew · The Standard Sandwich · Ham & Pear Ciabatta · Kouign-Amann at the Secret Dish rooftop stop · Specialty Chocolate · Water throughout.
Groups are kept intentionally small (maximum 12 guests) so every client gets the attention and access the experience deserves. The tour runs 3 to 3.5 hours at an easy walking pace, suitable for most fitness levels.
