Product Info

-What you can expect-
Follow your guide inside the Accademia Gallery with access secured in advance, ensuring guaranteed availability for your tour departure. Discover Michelangelo's David, one of the most celebrated masterpieces of the Renaissance.

You'll learn about the David, sculpted by Michelangelo entirely from a single block of local Carrara marble, and it's 5.17 metres tall (17 ft). It represents the biblical hero David, who killed the giant Goliath and when it was unveiled in 1504, it soon came to symbolise the defence of the civil liberties embodied in the Florentine Republic.

During the tour, you'll enjoy the personalised attention as you'll explore the gallery in a small group of up to nine people. Your guide will reveal all the secrets about David and the other works housed in the museum, such as Michelangelo's famously unfinished sculptures, Prigioni and San Matteo, but also some of the most important paintings and sculptures by Middle Ages and Renaissance artists such as Botticelli, Paolo Uccello, Andrea del Sarto and many more.

At the end of the tour, you can decide to remain inside the museum as long as you want and continue the visit on your own.
