Meet your guide in the Old City and begin your exploration of Istanbul’s rich history. Start at Hippodrome Square, once the social and political heart of Constantinople. Discover the site of ancient chariot races and admire the Obelisk of Theodosius, Serpentine Column, and German Fountain.

Next, step inside the Blue Mosque, famous for its striking blue Iznik tiles and grand Ottoman architecture. Continue to the Hagia Sophia for an exterior visit, where you can admire the breathtaking fusion of Byzantine and Ottoman heritage from outside.

Descend into the atmospheric Basilica Cistern, an underground reservoir with a forest of columns and mysterious Medusa heads.

Enjoy a traditional Turkish lunch at a local restaurant, with the chance to taste delicious local specialties.
