Racha Yai Island is one of the most beginner-friendly dive destinations in Thailand — calm, warm water, excellent visibility, and a gentle beach entry that makes your first dive as relaxed and enjoyable as possible.

This 1 Boat Try Dive listing is designed for complete beginners who are curious about scuba diving but are not ready — or do not want — to commit to a full day of multiple dives. In just 30-35 minutes beneath the surface with a certified instructor beside you at all times, you will experience the magic of breathing underwater and exploring a coral reef for the very first time.

Your day starts with a hotel pickup and a comfortable ride to Chalong Pier. Before boarding the boat, you will enjoy breakfast and a thorough dive briefing covering everything you need to know: how the equipment works, how to breathe comfortably underwater, how to equalise pressure in your ears, and the basic hand signals used between diver and instructor. There is no rush — your instructor will not take you in the water until you feel completely ready.

After a 90-minute boat ride to Racha Yai, you will enter the water from the beach at one of the island's most sheltered and beautiful dive sites. Coral gardens, colourful reef fish, and occasionally sea turtles await just below the surface.
