This is a hands-on lesson to create your own New Year's decorations, or shimenawa. You can create your own shimenawa in either a Japanese or Western style! Choose your favorite flowers from fresh, dried, or artificial flowers. Fresh shimenawa are available from the third week of December onward. Decorate with ribbons, string, and ornaments to celebrate the New Year. This plan allows you to create your own shimenawa in your desired shape and decorate it with beautiful flowers. (This does not involve tying strings together from scratch.) The instructor will provide support so even beginners can easily create their own shimenawa. This is a great idea not only for yourself, but also as a birthday or anniversary gift. Experience Schedule: 1. Instructions: 10 minutes; 2. Shimenawa Making: Approximately 1.5 hours; 3. Finishing: 5 minutes; 4. Photography: 5 minutes; 5. Checkout: 5 minutes. This lesson is for ages 12 and up. (Please inquire if you would like children to participate.) ■ Please make a reservation based on the number of people in your group. Our shop is small, so if the number of visitors exceeds the number of reservations, your companions may not be able to be seated depending on the reservation situation.
