Rome, a city with a history deeper than a strong espresso, is an interesting city with diverse charms that become more apparent the more you learn about it, far too simple to just skim through it with a brief description.
A “deep-fledged tour” filled with genuine humanistic reflection, where the guide and traveler converse and contemplate together while viewing our lives through the stories of Rome’s history, culture, and art spanning from the past to the present.
The Day will present 'that day' that will be remembered for a long time.
This is not just a humanities tour in name only!
Over the past 15 years, by personally meeting and communicating with travelers and deeply contemplating what to convey through this tour, I have created an 'in-depth tour' where we can engage in genuine and proper humanistic contemplation and brainstorming.
However, it is an enjoyable tour. Although the topics of history, culture, and art can sometimes be difficult, the tour approaches them in an easy and friendly manner through storytelling, various visual materials, and the culinary culture experienced while dining together.

[ The Highlights of The Day Travel City Tour! ]
• Uncover the immense value held within historic sites with The Day Travel!
Exploring downtown Rome, a place steeped in 2,000 years of history, is like opening a thick history book. This is not a tour where you rush through ruins merely to snap a photo. Nor is it a tour where you simply move on asking, "What is this building?" Instead, it is a tour where we delve deeply into why these buildings were constructed and what significance they hold, engaging in deep inquiry and conversation. We will create an opportunity for you to gradually discover the true meaning that Rome holds.
• Entry to the Pantheon (Separate admission fee / Free entry and viewing inside after explanation outside)
Are you saying you won't go into the Pantheon because the lines are too long or tickets are hard to get?! It makes no sense to just view the Pantheon from the outside without entering—the Pantheon is a representative building of the inclusive policies that underpinned the roots of why Rome is called the center of Western history. Don't miss out on the grandeur seen from inside, the distinction between a temple and a cathedral, and even the chance to take a cute photo with Raphael's tomb.
• Unveiling local culture and insider tips known only to residents!
In addition to historical content, you will have the opportunity to learn more about Rome in depth through vivid and diverse stories experienced firsthand as a local resident, as well as experiencing various aspects of Italian culture such as food and desserts during lunch.

[ The Day Travel City Tour Important Notes ]
• This tour does not include entry to the interior of the Colosseum or Roman Forum.
Since entering the Colosseum or Roman Fountain requires at least 3 to 4 hours, our product is an intensive city center tour that utilizes that time to visit other important historical sites in Rome, such as Piazza Capitoline, the Pantheon, and the Trevi Fountain. We provide sufficient explanations from the outside using photos and materials from the interior. We do not enter the Colosseum or Roman Fountain due to frequent unpredictable entry times and the risk of scalping caused by ticket shortages.
**notification**
• Notice of Pantheon Admission Fee Increase (Effective July 1, 2026)
The admission fee for the Pantheon will increase from 5 euros to 7 euros per adult. (However, minors will remain free of charge, as before.)
• The Trevi Fountain will become a paid attraction starting February 2, 2026.
Viewing the exterior of the Trevi Fountain is free, but a 2 Euro admission fee is required to go down to throw a coin (reservations or cards only).
Our tour only covers the exterior viewing and explanation; we do not allow entry downstairs with an admission fee. If you wish to enter, we recommend visiting individually after the tour ends.
- Operating hours: 9 AM to 10 PM
- Price 2 Euros / Free for children under 6
• Guide Response Guide
- Under no circumstances is abusive language, profanity, or disrespectful remarks directed at other travelers or the guide prohibited. Furthermore, recording or filming the content during the tour, which is the guide's intellectual property, is strictly forbidden.
Travelers who engage in the above behavior will have their trip immediately cancelled, regardless of the program's progress.
- A guide is someone who assists with your trip, not a subordinate or secretary. While it is only natural to help make your journey more comfortable and enjoyable, I absolutely do not respond to personal contact late at night, requests for extremely personal tasks (such as interpretation), errands, instructions, or any actions equivalent thereto. Please take note of this.
• The order of the course may change due to sudden downtown events, strikes, demonstrations, etc.
• Dress Code Guide
Skirts above the knee, short shorts, sleeveless tops, off-shoulder tops, and slippers (such as flip-flops) may be restricted from entering the cathedral regardless of gender. (This applies to all cathedrals in Italy.) However, even if you are wearing restricted attire, you may enter after adjusting your clothing if you have something to cover yourself with (such as a shirt, scarf, or jacket).
As this tour involves standing and walking for long periods, please wear comfortable shoes if possible.
• The fare is 1.5 euros per trip, but for those planning a personal itinerary (such as night sightseeing or shopping), you can purchase a 1-day pass (valid for 24 hours after initial activation) for 7 euros at various ticket offices, so we recommend purchasing one that fits your schedule.
• Joining the meeting midway is not permitted. We ask for your understanding that, in principle, joining midway is not allowed unless you are late for the initial meeting time or have agreed to relocate the meeting location in advance. Travel and the time spent are precious to everyone. Since the 'team' frequently has to wait for individuals who are late due to personal reasons, making it difficult to proceed smoothly, we are unable to allow late joining. Please keep this in mind.
