You can experience both winter snow walls and spring cherry blossoms for only four days each year!
The Zao Echo Line will be closed during the winter but will reopen in mid-April, allowing visitors to walk along a 2-kilometer route between snow walls formed during snow removal.
A special bus tour will be provided to visit the snow walls and "a thousand cherry blossoms at a glance" in Ōkawara City at the foot of Mount Zao.
Enjoy the magical sight of thousands of cherry blossom trees lining both banks of the Shiraishi River, with the snow-capped Zao Mountain in the background.
Enjoy the fun of sledding at the Taikoo Shrine parking lot where the event is being held, and you can also see snowplows!
Lunch will be provided so you can experience Japanese cherry blossom viewing.

Bento boxes cannot be adjusted to accommodate allergies or special religious needs.

Although you will only be walking in areas cleared of snow, we recommend that you wear hiking shoes or other footwear that is easy to walk in and non-slip.
At an altitude of about 1,500 meters, the temperature is about 7°C lower than that of the plains. In addition, the temperature may approach 0°C during bad weather, so please wear warm and windproof clothing.

  • If you want to experience flower viewing, you can bring a picnic blanket, but please bring it by yourself if necessary.

  • If the road to the Snow Wall is impassable due to snow, the tour may be canceled on the morning of departure.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations 11 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
  • For cancellations made 8 to 10 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 20% will apply
  • For cancellations made 2 to 7 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 30% will apply
  • For cancellations made 1 to 1 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 40% will apply
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once the cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 14 working days.
