Hainanese chicken rice is a representative dish of Singapore. Soft and moist steamed chicken with three kinds of sauce. The rice used is the highest quality Thai jasmine rice. Chicken rice is made by cooking this jasmine rice in chicken soup. A fried chicken version is also available. The batter is crispy and perfect for Japanese people. In addition to single portions, we also offer versions with more meat, such as half a chicken or a whole chicken, so that everyone can share.
Two types of soup, said to have been introduced from Fujian and Teochew, are still eaten in Singapore today. Both are soups containing pork ribs, but the Fujian one contains Chinese herbs and has a dark brown soup, while the Teochew one has a clear soup flavored with garlic and black pepper. It seems that Bak Kut Teh is the first dish that people who are stationed in Singapore fall in love with. It continues to be a beloved breakfast staple for Singaporeans even today.
