The optimal time to visit Korankei for its stunning autumn leaves is typically from mid-November to early December. During this period, the valley's approximately 4,000 maple trees turn vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow, creating a breathtaking landscape. Visiting in the morning, around 9:30 AM, allows you to experience the foliage with fewer crowds, offering a more serene viewing experience.
Korankei is renowned for its spectacular autumn foliage, making it the best place to view maple leaves in the Tokai region. Visitors can enjoy strolling along the Tomoe River, crossing the iconic Taigetsukyo Bridge, and exploring various walking trails that offer panoramic views of the vibrant colors. The serene atmosphere, combined with the illuminated maple trees in the evenings (seasonal), provides a truly immersive natural experience.
A stay of approximately 120 minutes is recommended to fully explore Korankei. This allows ample time to leisurely walk through the maple tree tunnels, admire the views from the Taigetsukyo Bridge, and soak in the natural beauty of the Tomoe River gorge. You can also discover various viewpoints and photo opportunities without feeling rushed, ensuring a comprehensive autumn foliage experience.
Nabana no Sato is highly worthwhile, especially in autumn, as it transforms into a magical wonderland. As Japan's largest flower theme park, it showcases vibrant autumn leaves by day and spectacular winter illuminations by evening. The blend of natural beauty and impressive light displays creates a unique experience, offering picturesque scenery and memorable moments for all visitors.
Nabana no Sato offers several unique experiences, most notably its status as Japan's largest flower theme park. Visitors can explore diverse flower gardens, including a massive flower island. During autumn and winter, it's famous for its grand-scale illuminations, often featuring elaborate light tunnels and themed displays. There are also hot spring foot baths and various dining options within the park for a complete visit.
To fully experience Nabana no Sato, especially considering both the autumn leaves and the spectacular illuminations, approximately 3 hours is typically needed. This duration allows sufficient time to explore the vast flower gardens, enjoy the seasonal foliage, and then immerse yourself in the renowned light displays as evening falls. You can also take time for meals or relaxation.
At Inuyama Castle, a designated National Treasure, visitors can expect to witness a magnificent blend of historical architecture and natural beauty during the autumn season. The castle's dignified wooden structure stands atop a hill, offering a striking contrast against the vibrant red and gold hues of the surrounding autumn leaves. From the top floor, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Kiso River and the colorful landscape.
This tour offers a rich culinary experience featuring seasonal delicacies. Guests can savor authentic eel dishes, fresh crab, and popular Nagoya cuisine, providing a true taste of the region. For accommodation, the tour includes a stay at a comfortable hotel located in Nagoya City, equipped with a large hot spring bath, allowing guests to relax and rejuvenate after a day of exploration.
