Okinawa Onna Forest Adventure Activity Experience: I. Arrival and Pre-Activities: Participants should arrive at the parking lot five minutes before the scheduled time. Shuttle personnel will pick up guests from here and take them up the mountain. Please arrive on time to avoid affecting subsequent services. After entering the camp, you need to read the precautions and sign the waiver to confirm your understanding of the risks of the high-altitude environment. Then, you will put on and take off your equipment, assisted by instructors. Those unfamiliar with the equipment should not loosen it arbitrarily to avoid danger. Afterwards, you will watch an instructional video in Traditional Chinese. II. Teaching and Communication Methods: The on-site instructors and assistant instructors are highly professional and have a good attitude. Although the teaching is mainly conducted in Japanese and English, it is accompanied by direct demonstrations. Participants only need a basic vocabulary and careful observation of the instructors' body language to master the operating skills; the overall difficulty is not high. III. Safety Management Spirit: The core concept of the activity is self-responsibility, emphasizing that you are responsible for your own safety. Although instructors and assistant instructors will assist at important stations, the instructors will not accompany you throughout the entire activity. Most of the high-altitude route's lock switching and hook confirmation must be completed independently by the participants. This operating mode effectively enhances individual safety awareness. IV. Environmental Adaptation and Equipment: Okinawa's climate is hot and the ultraviolet radiation is strong. Even when engaging in activities in the forest, there is still a serious risk of sunburn, so sun protection is essential. Body temperature rises extremely quickly during high-intensity climbing. Exclusive brand clothing will be sold on-site for 2,200 yen. The material is suitable for sports and has commemorative value; those interested can purchase it. V. High-Difficulty Challenges: The course features two black-marked challenging sections: the Tarzan Swing and the O-Loop. The Tarzan Swing tests courage and mental fortitude; the O-Loop requires strong core muscles. If core strength is insufficient, it will be difficult to maintain stability in the suspended loop. It is recommended to assess your physical fitness and not attempt the challenge lightly to avoid exhaustion. VI. Summary: Arriving at the parking lot on time, focusing on safe operation, assessing your core strength, and implementing physical sun protection are key elements to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the activity.
It's recommended to wear waterproof, non-slip shoes, as the cave is very humid, and the floor is wet. The entire stalactite cave is spectacular, and with the lighting, it's well worth seeing. The Ryukyu Kingdom ruins and the snake and turtle exhibit are also worth visiting; the layout is excellent.
I was very satisfied with the KKday Okinawa Southern Day Trip. It's especially suitable for travelers with elderly family members. The itinerary was well-organized, with no rushing and excellent time management. The tour guide was friendly, polite, and explained everything clearly. Transportation was all included, so there was no need to transfer (which is a huge advantage for seniors). The price was reasonable, making it great value for money. I highly recommend this "semi-independent + group tour" travel style, as it saves time and is less tiring.
