We took this tour today (March 30th) and it was a fantastic experience. The itinerary is perfect: the Kamishikimi Kumanoza Shrine felt like a Ghibli movie with all that moss and mist, and seeing the active crater at Mt. Aso was breathtaking. Finishing the day at Kurokawa Onsen was the best way to relax.
Note on language: The tour was conducted in Chinese by a very nice lady. However, even for us (speaking Russian and English), everything was perfectly clear and easy to follow. The logistics were spot on, and the bus (1984) was right on time.
Highly recommend if you want to see the best of Kumamoto in one day! 10/10.
The tour guide proactively helped take photos and pointed out the best spots for photos. The group was small, only about a dozen people, so it was very comfortable. Although the location was a bit far, it was very safe to reach. The scenery at Takagi Senso was beautiful, and I would definitely visit again. There are also shops and scenic spots near the volcanic plains, which I also think are worth visiting. If you enjoy scenery...
The tour leader was very patient and attentive, always looking out for any group members who needed assistance. The explanations were very detailed, allowing everyone to fully enjoy the scenery. The little train experience was truly fantastic!
