Everything was great with our small group! Cico gave a very thorough introduction, and the driver drove very smoothly – a perfect day trip! Boating on the Yanagawa River was fun, and we also had delicious eel rice.
The bus service between Fukuoka Airport and Hakata Station is very convenient (Bus stop at Gates 6 & 7 on the first floor of the airport departure area; Bus stop at the Shizuku exit of Hakata Station). The pick-up and drop-off points are easy to find, and the station staff and drivers provide excellent service. Highly recommended!
In order to eat grilled seafood, I chose this one-day tour, and I was not disappointed. The seafood is fresh and delicious. I couldn't get enough of the seafood platter. I must try the all-you-can-eat next time. The itinerary is well arranged, each attraction has enough time to walk slowly, take photos and check-in, and will not be in a hurry. The tour guide, CHUN, is funny and knows how to take care of the group members, and will help take photos. The last stop is to play zipline, exciting and fun!
When we arrived at the meeting point at 8:00 AM, the tour leader hadn't appeared yet, but eventually showed up holding a sign. Perhaps because the tour guide was a local Japanese and didn't speak much English/Chinese, we communicated using Google Translate. This was a slight disappointment, as we joined the tour hoping the guide would provide some background information on Fukuoka and the history of the attractions. The audio guide's commentary was essentially the same as the online promotional text for the trip, not very helpful 🤣. Also, considering that January 5th was still during the New Year period, we were told that the "Raizan Senruji Temple" stop was removed, and the entire group returned to the meeting point around 5:15 PM. Personally, I think the tour guide should have arranged for this location to be visited again before the end of the trip, depending on the vehicle's condition, so that travelers could check it out. Overall, the vehicle condition, driver, and the smoothness of the itinerary were acceptable.
Our tour guide, Ms. Wu, was professional and responsible. She handled the entire activity arrangement and time management exceptionally well, and I highly recommend participating in this tour.
Most of the attractions we visited today had sea views, which was really relaxing. Although the sea breeze was a bit strong, the scenery was absolutely beautiful. After shopping in the city and getting tired, taking a walk in the suburbs to see the sea was a different kind of enjoyment. I'm also very grateful to our tour guide, Emy, for her enthusiastic introductions to the various attractions and their stories. Most importantly, there were also some delicious restaurants. I'm also very grateful to the driver for safely getting us back to the meeting point. The attractions we visited were relatively close together, so we didn't have to get up particularly early or take a long drive. I recommend this to travelers who want to go for a stroll along the beach.
