The best time to visit is spring (March to May) or autumn (October to November). During these two seasons, you can enjoy cherry blossoms and red leaves, as well as hot springs and rural scenery.

Must-visit attractions include Hell Cruise, Beppu Park, and Kintetsu Beppu Ropeway. The Hell Cruise allows you to see various hot spring landforms, Beppu Park is suitable for walking and enjoying the natural scenery, and the Kintetsu Beppu Ropeway provides a beautiful view of the Beppu scenery.
