Product Info

Explore Son Tra Peninsula on a private wildlife experience focused on finding and observing the Red-Shanked Douc Langur in its natural habitat. Travel in a private air-conditioned vehicle with a senior wildlife guide with more than 5 years of experience, supported by a local wildlife tracker.

Along the forest roads of Son Tra, your guide and local wildlife tracker will search for suitable wildlife observation areas and help you spot these rare primates while respecting their natural behavior. Learn about the Red-Shanked Douc Langur’s appearance, social structure, behavior, diet, daily movements, habitat, and the conservation challenges facing the species.

Your guide will also introduce the ecological importance of Son Tra Peninsula and explain responsible wildlife observation. For nature lovers and photographers, the guide can help identify suitable observation spots, spend more time in productive areas, and adjust the pace of the experience to your interests.

High-end binoculars are available to help you observe wildlife from a safe and respectful distance. If needed, a short and relatively easy forest walk of approximately 2 kilometers may be included to search for wildlife. This walk is optional and may be skipped if langurs have already been spotted from the main road.

Depending on weather conditions, wildlife activity, and the route, the experience may include scenic stops such as Ban Co Peak, Vong Canh Hill, or selected viewpoints on Son Tra Peninsula. Stops are flexible rather than fixed and are chosen by the guide according to the conditions and guests’ preferences.

Take a short refreshment break with snacks and drinking water before returning to the original meeting point.

The experience also supports HI VOOC conservation activities, with US$5 per guest contributed directly to primate conservation efforts.

Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed because the langurs live freely in their natural habitat. The route, timing, and stops may be adjusted according to weather conditions, wildlife activity, and guests’ interests to maximize responsible wildlife observation opportunities.
