Embark on a fascinating 3-day overland adventure from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, exploring some of Cambodia’s most remarkable yet lesser-visited archaeological treasures.

On Day 1, depart Phnom Penh and travel north toward Kampong Thom Province. Stop at the famous Skun Market, known for its local delicacies and unique spider market. Continue to Phnom Santuk, a sacred hilltop site offering panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. In the afternoon, explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sambor Prei Kuk, one of Cambodia’s oldest temple complexes dating back to the Chenla Kingdom. Wander among ancient brick temples hidden within a peaceful forest before spending the night in Kampong Thom.

On Day 2, journey deeper into Cambodia’s historical heartland to visit Preah Khan of Kampong Svay, one of the largest and most remote temple complexes of the Khmer Empire. Discover its impressive ruins, moats, and stone structures surrounded by nature. Continue to the ancient Kampong Kdei Bridge, one of the best-preserved Angkor-era bridges still standing today. Later, travel to the Koh Ker region and enjoy an overnight stay near the archaeological park.

On Day 3, explore the spectacular Koh Ker Temple Group, the former capital of the Khmer Empire during the 10th century. Marvel at Prasat Thom, the iconic seven-tier pyramid temple rising above the jungle landscape. Continue to Beng Mealea, a mysterious temple engulfed by vegetation and often compared to a real-life lost city. After exploring its atmospheric ruins, conclude your journey with a transfer to Siem Reap City.

This tour offers a unique opportunity to experience Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage beyond the famous Angkor temples while enjoying comfortable transportation with an English-speaking driver throughout the trip.
