- Private whale watching departing from Chatan Fisherina! This is a half-day charter plan to find humpback whales that visit during the winter season. Every winter, humpback whales return to Okinawa for breeding, making it the most exciting season for the Okinawan sea! Let's go whale watching on the comfortable, exclusively chartered boat Haisai, while enjoying the beautiful Okinawan coastline. In summer, they feed in the Bering Sea, and in winter, they migrate long distances to the waters around Okinawa for breeding and raising their young. Humpback whales are one of the world's largest mammals, measuring 10 to 15 meters in length and weighing up to 30 tons. You will be captivated by the performances of the whales, such as the blow (spouting water) as their massive bodies appear on the surface, diving with their tails held high, and breaching (jumping). If you are lucky, you might see a baby whale with its mother, or witness the dynamic sight of a heat run, where males repeatedly breach to court females.

The boat used for the course is a new vessel delivered in 2024, the YAMAHA YFR-27HMEX, equipped with a toilet, shower, air conditioning, cabin, and sun awning, making it safe for women and children. The capacity is 10 people, with up to 8 guests (excluding the captain and staff) allowed on board. It is the perfect size for a single group charter. The engine is the latest YAMAHA V6 model F250N, which uses gasoline instead of diesel, ensuring clean exhaust with minimal odor and noise.

Regarding cancellation of the tour:
- The tour may be cancelled due to weather conditions on the day (high waves, storms, lightning, etc.). In such cases, no cancellation fee will be charged. Please note in advance that we cannot compensate for travel expenses even if the tour is cancelled after you have arrived at the site.
Notes for participating in the course:
- Those who are pregnant, have been advised by a doctor to limit exercise, or are under the influence of alcohol cannot participate in the course. For safety, smoking and drinking alcohol are prohibited on board. Please consult with us if you have any other concerns about your physical condition.
Other special notes:
- As whales are wild animals, we cannot guarantee a 100% encounter rate. Please note in advance that no refunds will be provided even if we are unable to see any whales.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 2 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
- For cancellations made 1 to 1 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
