＜What is the Grand Sumo Tour?＞
The Grand Sumo Tour is a traveling sumo event held in various locations across Japan, separate from the official tournaments. Sumo wrestlers visit different regions to interact with local communities, allowing everyone to experience the traditional Japanese culture of Grand Sumo up close.
At the tour, you can not only watch powerful matches but also observe public practice sessions up close and enjoy unique experiences such as handshake events with the wrestlers.
The charm of the tour lies in the relaxed atmosphere and the closeness to the wrestlers, which is different from the official tournaments. It is a highly recommended event even for those watching Grand Sumo for the first time!

9:00 - 10:00 Commemorative handshake event with 4 wrestlers
9:00 - 11:00 Public practice, fun corner (practice sumo between wrestlers and children)
11:00 - 11:30 Intermission
11:30 Makushita and lower division matches (Shokkiri, Sumo Jinku, Taiko drum performance, etc.)
13:10 Makuuchi and Yokozuna ring-entering ceremony (commemorative ceremony, prize draw)
13:30 Makuuchi division matches
14:30 Yumitori-shiki (bow-twirling ceremony)

Outdoor footwear is strictly prohibited inside the venue. Please bring slippers or similar indoor footwear.
Please note that guests in 2nd-floor seats are not permitted to enter the arena.
You cannot choose your seat area or seat number for sumo viewing. (We cannot answer inquiries regarding this.)
