There will be demonstrations and practice time by the instructor, so even first-timers can participate with confidence. Using special tools, you will create patterns and complete a one-of-a-kind wagashi. This popular experience can be enjoyed by a wide range of generations, from children to adults, as you will be engrossed in the detailed work. ③ Tea ceremony experience: A new way to enjoy the tea ceremony without sitting in the seiza position After making wagashi, you will enjoy a tea ceremony experience where you will prepare your own matcha. Yusai uses the "ryurei" style of tea ceremony. It was devised by Gen'gensai Sōshitsu, the 11th head of the Urasenke school of tea ceremony, to entertain foreign guests at the first Kyoto Exposition in 1872. Since you will be sitting on a chair, there is no need to sit in the seiza position. Anyone, from children to the elderly, can easily enjoy the tea ceremony.
