Meteora Monasteries full-day tour from Thessaloniki with local guide

Meeting point description: Departure from Thessaloniki Macedonia Intercity Bus Station (change buses at Trikala Bus Station and catch the bus for Kalambaka). Please be at the station at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure. In Kalabaka, you have to stop at the Fournos bus stop where you'll be picked up by the staff, who will be holding a signboard with your name.(Macedonia Intercity Bus Station, Giannitson 244, Thessaloniki 546 28, Greece)

Not allowed:No pants for ladies, no shorts, no sleeveless shirts. For ladies, skirts by the knee or longer are required. For men, sleeveless clothing and shorts over the knee are prohibited

Know in advance:The guide will be with you the whole time, except inside the holy monasteries

From Monday to Friday, roundtrip transportation between Thessaloniki and Kalambaka (Meteora) is provided by public bus. You have to change bus at Trikala Station. During the weekend, the transportation from Thessaloniki to Kalambaka and back is with a combination of train and bus

Note the following train and bus timetable if you book your tour on weekend (Saturday and Sunday): the train departs from Thessaloniki Railway Station at 5.55 am, and it arrives at Palaiofarsalos Train Station at about 8.00 am, where you will catch the bus that will continue the trip to Kalabaka departing at 10.30 am. The bus from Palaiofarsalos arrives at Kalambaka Train Station at about 12.30 pm. For the return to Thessaloniki, you have to catch the bus from Kalambaka Train Station at 4.50 pm. You'll arrive in Palaiofarsalos at 6.50 pm, where you catch the train to Thessaloniki at 9.00 pm. You'll arrive in Thessaloniki at 11.10 pm
