Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine

Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, a scholar from the Heian period, is one of the head shrines of all Tenmangu shrines in Japan, along with Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kyoto, and boasts a history of over 1100 years. The existing main hall is built in the grand style of the Momoyama period and is designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan. The grounds are planted with approximately 200 varieties and 6000 plum trees, and the approach to the shrine is lined with plum-shaped rice cakes, souvenir shops, and unique cafes, making it one of Kyushu's most representative shrines.

Beppu Hell

The Beppu Hell Tour is a signature tourist route in Beppu City, Osaka, Kyushu. It consists of seven unique high-temperature hot spring geothermal landscapes, which have been known as "hells" since ancient times due to their high water temperature, billowing steam, and fantastic colors. The seven hells are located in the Tetsurawa and Shibashi areas, and four of them are listed as National Scenic Spots of Japan.

Sea Hell: The largest cobalt blue hot spring, its unique blue color is formed by the dissolution of ferric sulfate. It features foot baths and Hell Steamed Pudding.

Onishibozu Hell: Boiling and churning gray mud resembling a bald head; the only one of the 7 hells to include a hot spring facility.

Stove Hell: You can experience foot baths and hot springs. It features six different hell pools, numbered from 1 to 6-chome.

Oniyama Hell: Japan's first facility to raise crocodiles using hot spring thermal energy, currently housing nearly 100 crocodiles from various regions.

White Pond Hell: A tranquil, bluish-white hot spring pool with a tropical fish display and a serene atmosphere.

Blood Pond Hell: Japan's oldest natural hell, dating back over 1300 years, where a large, blood-red pond is formed from iron oxide.

Tornado Hell: A natural geyser where hot water and steam erupt periodically, creating spectacular towering water columns. Eruptions occur approximately every 30-40 minutes, and viewing the eruption is not guaranteed during your stay.

【Yufuin/Yufuin】

Located in Oita Prefecture, Kyushu, this top-tier, healing hot spring town is nestled against Mount Yufu, often referred to as "Bungo-Fuji," and surrounded by mountains and fields. It boasts the second-highest volume of hot spring water in Japan. The core attraction, Lake Kinrin, features a blend of cold spring water and hot springs, offering picturesque views. The 800-meter-long Yunotsubo Street is lined with handmade sweets, creative goods, and anime-themed shops, creating a relaxed and artistic atmosphere. Yufuin Flower Village, themed around English country style, features cobblestone paths and flower gardens that evoke a fairytale atmosphere, and includes shops themed around characters like Miffy and Snoopy. Beautiful in all seasons, it's a top choice for a leisurely trip in Kyushu.
