- Departure and return from Sapporo Station! This is a light hiking tour to observe salmon swimming upstream in the Uyoro River, which flows through Shiraoi Town. Every year from September to November, salmon swim upstream to spawn. The Uyoro River is a hidden gem where you can observe the salmon swimming upstream up close. At the peak of the season, the river is literally filled with them! It is a sight worth seeing. The walking trail along the Uyoro River is generally gentle and easy to walk. If the timing is right, you might even encounter white-tailed eagles hunting for salmon. A professional guide will provide lectures on key spots and explain the surrounding nature. The total duration is about 3 hours. Even those who are not confident in their physical fitness can participate. After the walk, you can also stop by a hot spring. This tour is recommended for those who want to take a relaxing walk in the great outdoors.

- Although the path is easy, we offer free rentals of walking poles for those who are concerned about their legs. Please let us know when booking if you would like to use them.

- We provide free shuttle service from in front of Sapporo Station. You can join us via public transportation. Pick-up from accommodations around the station (within a 1km radius) is also available.

- The tour is conducted in small groups to ensure attentive support. We operate with a maximum capacity of 5 people. As a COVID-19 measure, we have placed alcohol disinfectant and disposable masks inside the shuttle vehicle.

Regarding tour cancellation:
- The tour may be cancelled before departure due to weather conditions or other unavoidable circumstances. In that case, we will contact you as soon as the decision is made. There will be no cancellation fee if the tour is cancelled for the above reasons. Additionally, depending on weather conditions, we may change the course or schedule to ensure customer safety. Please note that we cannot provide refunds for any costs, including the full tour price, even if the original objectives cannot be met due to these changes.
Notes on participating in the course:
- During the hike, the guide will do their best to ensure safety, but there are various dangers in outdoor activities such as falls, falling rocks, falling snow, and falling branches. We ask that you participate with a full understanding of the dangers associated with hiking. The guide may not be held responsible for accidents that occur during the hike.

Clothing and items: Items to bring ・Backpack (approx. 10-20 liters) ・Cold weather gear (fleece or jacket) ・Energy snacks ・Beverages/water bottle (warm drinks are recommended) Clothing ・Easy-to-walk-in shoes like sneakers ・Comfortable clothes (top and bottom) ・Hat ・Outerwear like a windbreaker *If you plan to visit a hot spring after the hike, please bring a bath set and a change of clothes. You can leave them in the vehicle during the tour.
Rental items: Hiking poles are available for free rental. Please let us know if you would like to use them when booking.
Duration note: The total walking time is about 3 hours round trip.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 14 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
- For cancellations made 8 to 13 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 30% will apply
- For cancellations made 2 to 7 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
- For cancellations made 1 to 1 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 80% will apply
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
