Product Info

The content of this product is provided by machine translation and may not reflect the actual information, please take this into consideration before booking.

  • In addition to stargazing with the naked eye, we will also be observing the celestial bodies using a Newtonian reflecting telescope with a focal length of 800mm and an aperture of 200mm. What you can see will vary depending on the conditions of the day, from stars to the moon to comers and comets. If the weather is good, you will often see shooting stars. You can participate empty-handed, or bring your own camera and telescope!
  • You may even be able to see meteors, satellites, and the International Space Station.
  • Depending on the time of year, what you can see changes daily, and may include Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon, or meteor showers. If conditions are good, you may even be able to see the Galilean moons and Saturn's rings. Some years comets may also appear. If you have something in mind you want to see, please check the astronomy events in advance before participating. If it looks like the stars will not be visible, we will notify you via your mobile device that the event will be cancelled (or postponed if you wish).
  • Photography is allowed, and if you're confident in your skills, you can even capture the Milky Way.
  • If you have a camera with a starry sky mode or a long exposure function, you may be able to take starry night photos. If you want to take photos of the stars, please check the manual beforehand so that you can adjust the ISO sensitivity, long exposure, focus, and aperture in the dark.
  • Those who have been drinking cannot participate
  • Stargazing is intended for adults. Because we select a dark location to make the stars easier to see, we cannot guarantee safety for those who are afraid of the dark, who run around, or who have been drinking. If you are bringing small children, we ask that they rest in the car or wait nearby in a chair. Some parents try to lift their children up to look through the telescope, but small children close their eyelids when something gets close to their eyes. This is a natural reaction to protect their eyes, but they cannot look through the telescope viewfinder. This can be very stressful for children when others can see but they cannot. Some children are very skilled at looking through the viewfinder, so as long as they can look through the telescope viewfinder without touching it with their hands and with one eye closed, they can participate. If you are between 90 and 120 cm tall, we will provide a step stool.

Purchase Notice

Regarding cancellation of the event:

  • Please note that the tour may be canceled due to weather, natural disasters, or the appearance of wild animals on the day. We will not compensate for travel expenses or other expenses if the tour is canceled after arriving at the site.

Please note the following when participating in this course:

  • This tour is for people over 120cm tall. If you are under 120cm tall, we will provide a step stool, so please let us know in advance.

Other important points:

  • Stargazing is conducted in the middle of the night and will be completely dark to allow for easy stargazing, so it is intended for adults only. There are no child rates. If you are bringing small children, they will need to rest in the car or wait nearby in a chair. Some parents may try to lift their children up and show them the stars through the telescope, but small children tend to close their eyes when something gets too close. This is a natural reaction to protect their eyes, but they are unable to look through the telescope viewfinder. This can be very stressful for children when others can see but they cannot. For young children, we recommend simply gazing at the starry sky rather than using a telescope. Children typically have better eyesight than adults and can see far more stars. Some children are very adept at looking through a telescope viewfinder, so as long as they can look through the telescope viewfinder without holding it, they can participate. If they are under 120 cm tall, a step stool will be provided.
