Sakaneya was founded in the 5th year of the Meiji era. This year marks our 150th anniversary as a long-established Izumo wagashi shop. This historic shop opened Kissa&co Sakaneya in April 2017. At Kissa&co Sakaneya, we host wagashi making experiences for groups of 2 or more. While our artisans share knowledge about wagashi and red bean paste, you will make 2 pieces each of 2 types of seasonal fresh wagashi (4 pieces in total). After the experience, you can relax and unwind in the cafe. Please choose your favorite drink from matcha, coffee, black tea, matcha latte, orange juice, or yuzu squash♪
Our artisans will teach you carefully!
You can experience making high-quality seasonal wagashi. You will make a total of 4 pieces (2 types × 2 pieces each), and you can take home any sweets you do not eat on the spot. Children can also enjoy making them, so please join us with everyone!
