- A plan using authentic Bizen clay and fired in an authentic Okayama wood-fired kiln. You will create simple yet profound pottery by firing only the clay, without any glaze. You will have a generous 1kg of clay to make two items, such as a teacup, rice bowl, or plate. Please note that Bizen ware takes about 3 months to be fired and ready.

- Bizen ware is one of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan, boasting a history that dates back to the end of the Heian period. It is known for its simple yet deeply profound technique of firing unglazed clay. We use clay from the 'Tsukamitsu Kiln,' where our studio representative studied, and fire the pieces in a wood-fired kiln. Come and touch the essence of Bizen ware! The charm lies in the rustic taste of the clay, which only gets better with use.
