What You Can Expect
1 Day
- 09:00Meeting, registration, and travel. The meeting point is in front of Kintetsu Yamato-Kamiichi Station. After registration, you will head to the trailhead in your guide's car. There will be a toilet break before reaching the trailhead.
- 10:40Preparation and departure. Once you're all equipped, it's time to depart. Let's go see the spectacular frozen waterfalls and ice stalagmites, which can only be seen here in the Kansai region!
- Snow trekking. Passing through a small icefall, we head towards the main icefall and ice stalagmite area!
- Lunchtime. Lunchtime in the sunshine♪ (The guide will bring hot water so you can eat something warm.)
- 12:40We arrived at the ice waterfall and ice stalagmite area! A truly impressive ice waterfall!
- Ice stalagmites in the cave! When you enter the half cave behind the icefall, you will see these cute ice stalagmites! A mysterious space spreads out before you!
- 13:40We start descending the mountain. After enjoying the icefalls and ice stalagmites to our heart's content, we head down the mountain.
- 15:10Descend the mountain, move on, and disband. After returning to the trailhead, we will take a staff vehicle to Yamato-Kamiichi Station and disband.

- Question 1: If you need to rent items, please let us know the quantity and size in advance.
Regarding cancellation of the event:
- If rain is forecast, the event will be cancelled. (If snow is forecast, the event will go ahead.) The final decision will be made based on the forecast at around 6pm the day before. The event will also be cancelled if the frozen waterfall has not formed. In such cases, we will notify you as many days in advance as possible.
Please note the following when participating in this course:
- No special mountaineering skills are required, but you will be walking on snowy mountain trails wearing light crampons. Although you walk at a relatively leisurely pace, the climb takes about two hours and the descent takes about one and a half hours, so a certain level of stamina and balance are required.
Other important points to note:
- Approximately 2 hours ascent with crampons, approximately 1 hour 30 minutes descent (course for those with moderate stamina). Includes climbing and descending steep snowy slopes.

What to wear and bring: ★What to bring - Outerwear (top and bottoms) - Mid-layer - Underwear - Waterproof trekking shoes up to the ankles - Thick socks - Gloves (both thick and thin) - Knit hat - Backpack - Warm clothing (down jacket, etc.) - Lunch and drinks (instant noodles are acceptable; hot water will be provided by the guide) - Poles - Crampons (6 or more spikes) - Sunglasses ★What to wear - Underwear: Mountaineering gear Fiber or wool materials (Heattech is not suitable as it will get cold with sweat) - Mid-layer: Fleece, etc. (not necessarily for mountain climbing) - Outerwear: Waterproof mountain climbing rainwear (top and bottom) - Cold weather clothing: Down jacket, etc. - Hat: Warm enough to cover your ears (no pom-poms as you will be wearing a helmet) - Gloves: Thick (for skiing or mountain climbing) and thin (like the kind sold at convenience stores) ★ Crampons 6-10 spikes are recommended (4 spikes are not allowed). Chain spikes may not be usable depending on the conditions as they are too short and slippery. Please let us know in advance. (Depending on the conditions, you may need to rent crampons.)

- Cancellations 7 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
- For cancellations made 2 to 6 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 20% will apply
- For cancellations made 0 to 1 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once the cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 14 working days.
