Product Info
- At 'Yokoyama Bamboo Store,' a long-established Kyoto shop that sells bamboo products and handles construction-grade bamboo materials, you can experience making traditional bamboo crafts. In this plan, you will create a 'Bamboo Chopsticks Set.'
- Experience traditional techniques and the spirit of craftsmanship
- The bamboo chopsticks you will make are part of a carbonized smoked bamboo 'My Chopsticks' set. Using bamboo smoked in our own factory for one week, you will shave it to your preferred thickness with a small knife and finish it with sandpaper. It takes about 2 hours to complete your work, and you can take it home on the same day.
- Perfect as a Kyoto-style souvenir
- Works finished with your own hands have a unique charm that mass-produced items lack. Create a wonderful memento of your trip to Kyoto. We welcome a wide variety of participants from both Japan and abroad, ranging from individuals and groups to school trips and corporate training sessions, all of whom enjoy the crafting process. Please feel free to join us.
Comes with a chopstick case.
