We primarily use ingredients and seasonings from Shimane Prefecture◎ Enjoy exquisite dishes that highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients, prepared by a chef with over 10 years of training at a kappo restaurant in Tokyo. Our top recommendation is the fresh fish caught by local fishermen that very day! Pair your meal with one of our 10 types of local sake or a fresh fruit sour. Our cozy, wood-accented space features both counter and table seating. Perfect for a casual drink, a night out with friends, or a meal while sightseeing! Our restaurant offers daily changing fish dishes, thanks to the fresh fish caught by our fishermen that day! We also use mostly locally grown fresh ingredients, such as free-range eggs, vegetables, and fruits. Our vegetable rolls, made with plenty of fresh vegetables, go perfectly with fresh fruit sours. We also have a wide selection of other carefully selected izakaya dishes, so you're sure to find a dish that perfectly suits your mood that day!
We offer a whopping 10 types of privately-brewed local sake that is only available within the prefecture. The deep, appealing flavors of Shimane Prefecture will further enhance the deliciousness of the food. We also recommend the "Fresh Fruit Sour," which uses seasonal fruits directly sourced from local farmers. The selection changes with the seasons, so you can enjoy discovering a new drink every time you visit. If you don't like alcohol, try the non-alcoholic fresh fruit sour or our "homemade ginger ale," which is made to order!
The interior of Sakaba Hütte, which means mountain hut, has a homey atmosphere where you can feel the warmth of wood. The counter seats allow you to see the chefs at work, as they prepare fresh fish, creating a lively atmosphere. There are also table seats perfect for groups. The chef in the kitchen is an experienced chef who has trained at a traditional Japanese restaurant in Tokyo for over 10 years. With the desire to "deliver the flavors of Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture, where he was born and raised," he sources ingredients and seasonings locally, and is extremely particular about using local produce for local consumption.
