A RIB (rigid inflatable boat) is a special, all-weather, unsinkable, durable, and fast-traveling inflatable boat primarily used by the military and maritime police worldwide. Taking advantage of its maneuverability, it has recently become popular for tourism. Main Attractions: [Caves] These are artificial caves located in rugged locations that are inaccessible by land. Who dug it and why remains a mystery... [Legendary Elephant] A human-shaped rock appeared at Kamiyogaura during a RIB tour in August 2011 after the earthquake. Apparently, a research team from overseas came here 70-80 years ago searching for something, but unfortunately failed to find anything. Perhaps they were searching for this rock. Kamiyogaura is located at the exact same latitude as the Tomb of Christ in the neighboring village of Torai, where Jesus and the Hebrews are said to have lived! Furthermore, the mysterious chapel (explorable on a 4WD tour) facing Lake Saiko also shares the same latitude. [Toppillar Bay] Meaning "Cliff on the Lake" in the Ainu language. You can observe water gushing from the bottom of the lake. [Origin of the name Lake Towada] In Ainu, "Towatara" means a rocky lake. "To" means lake.
