- Sightseeing Spot Introduction -

  • Manzamo: The name 'Manzamo' is said to originate from 1726, when King Sho Kei of the Ryukyu Kingdom praised it as a 'field capable of seating 10,000 people.' Manzamo is a scenic spot located in Onna Village, Kunigami District, Okinawa Prefecture. Situated near the center of Onna Village, it is a cliff made of Ryukyu limestone, approximately 20 meters high, facing the East China Sea, featuring a unique rock formation that resembles an elephant's trunk. The top of the cliff is a grassy plateau. It was designated as a prefectural scenic spot on May 12, 1972.
  • Ocean Expo Park

Okinawa Commemorative National Government Park is a national park established in August 1976 on the site of the Okinawa International Ocean Exposition, which was held in 1975. Today, it plays a central role in promoting tourism in Okinawa, particularly in the northern part of the main island. Among the park's three areas, the History and Culture Area includes the Oceanic Culture Museum, which exhibits approximately 750 items such as daily tools and fishing gear showing the connection with maritime peoples of the Pacific; the Okinawa Native Village, which recreates traditional Ryukyu island houses and gardens; and the Omoro Botanical Garden, where 22 representative types of plants mentioned in the 'Omoro Soshi,' the oldest collection of Okinawan songs, are planted and displayed.

  • Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium

The aquarium offers a grand world of mysterious Okinawan marine life. In the 'Coral Sea' tank, bathed in sunlight, you can see large-scale coral cultivation and displays. Then there is the 'Kuroshio Sea,' a massive, powerful tank where you can observe the world's largest fish, the whale shark, and manta rays, which were bred here for the first time in the world. Furthermore, you can experience the entire Okinawan sea, including the 'Deep Sea' tank, which recreates the mysterious deep sea of Okinawa.

  • Tropical Dream Center

Spanning an area of approximately 6.8 hectares, this center collects over 400 species of plants promising for urban greening in subtropical regions, displaying them according to their characteristics. There is a plant sample garden with over 400 species, a rest area where you can experience making plant crafts, and an area where you can play ground golf for free, making it a great place to enjoy with family and friends.

  • Dolphin Show

Dolphins put on a fun show against the backdrop of the blue sea! Utilizing their excellent athletic abilities, false killer whales and bottlenose dolphins perform an entertaining show. Through this show, we also provide commentary on the ecology and abilities of dolphins.

  • Oceanic Culture Museum

This facility introduces the history and culture of maritime peoples in the Pacific region, including Okinawa. The exhibits gathered here were created during the 'Okinawa International Ocean Exposition' held in 1975, preserving and conveying the maritime culture of the Asian and South Pacific regions of the 1970s to the present day.

  • Ocean Expo Park Fireworks Festival

The 48th Ocean Expo Park Fireworks Festival is a popular summer fireworks event held at Emerald Beach in Ocean Expo Park. The venue, Emerald Beach, is located right next to the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and is renowned for its beauty, having been selected as one of the '100 Best Bathing Beaches' by the Ministry of the Environment. Environment. Emerald Beach, the main area for viewing the fireworks, is a paid zone that can accommodate approximately 13,000 people, allowing you to enjoy the powerful fireworks and musical performances up close.
