Your journey to Mount Batur starts in the early hours of the morning, when our driver will pick you up directly from your hotel or villa. The pick-up time depends on your accommodation’s location:
If you stay in Ubud, Sanur, or Kintamani, the pick-up will be around 3:00 AM.
If you are staying in Seminyak, Kuta, Canggu, Nusa Dua, or Jimbaran, we will pick you up around 2:00 AM to ensure you reach the starting point on time. We provide a comfortable and air-conditioned vehicle to ensure you have a smooth ride, allowing you to relax or take a nap before your adventure begins.
By 4:00 AM, you will arrive at our starting point near Mount Batur. Here, you will meet our friendly and experienced tour guide, who will provide a short briefing about the tour. Safety is our priority, so our guide will explain the route, the expected weather conditions, and what to prepare before we start.
This is a great time to stretch your legs, grab a quick drink, and get ready for your unforgettable adventure.
At 4:15 AM, the real adventure begins! You will board a powerful 4WD Jeep that will take you through the rugged volcanic terrain of Mount Batur. The off-road journey is an exciting experience, as you ride through rocky paths, lava fields, and steep trails that would otherwise be difficult to hike on foot.
After around 30 minutes of Jeep riding, we will reach a certain point where the final part of the journey requires a short trek to the summit. This trekking section takes approximately 15–30 minutes, depending on your fitness level. The short trek is much easier than a full hike and is perfect for those who want to conserve energy while still enjoying the thrill of climbing Mount Batur.
Unlike the traditional trek that takes 2–3 hours, this Jeep and trekking combination allows you to reach the top faster and with less effort, making it a great option for families, beginner hikers, or those with limited stamina.
By 5:20 AM, you will arrive at the summit of Mount Batur, just in time to witness one of the most breathtaking sunrises in Bali. As the first rays of sunlight break through the clouds, the sky will transform into a stunning blend of orange, red, and purple hues.
From the 1,717-meter-high summit, you will enjoy 360-degree panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes, including:

At 7:30 AM, after enjoying the sunrise, we continue our journey to one of Mount Batur’s most fascinating spots—the Black Lava Fields. These vast, dark, rocky landscapes are the result of Mount Batur’s historical eruptions, creating an otherworldly terrain that looks like something out of a movie.
This area is perfect for photography, as the contrast between the dark lava rocks and the bright morning sky creates a stunning backdrop. Our guide will take you through the best spots to explore and capture amazing photos.
The Black Lava Fields are a must-visit, as they showcase the true power of nature and the incredible beauty that emerges from volcanic activity.
On our way back to the basecamp, you will have the chance to enjoy more scenic views of Mount Batur and its surroundings. One of the highlights of this journey is passing through local farmlands, where you can see Balinese farmers planting onions and tending to their crops.
This is a rare opportunity to witness authentic Balinese rural life, as you observe how locals live and work in harmony with nature.
At 9:00 AM, we will return to basecamp, where you can relax for a bit before heading back to your hotel.
