Director Wan and the driver were both very responsible and nice. They patiently reminded us not to forget anything and kept us informed of the time, as traffic in Thailand is very congested. Missing an interchange can mean waiting up to 5 hours. Don't forget your belongings! The things sold at Damnoen Saduak Floating Market weren't great, but the boat ride experience was quite unique and rare in Taiwan. Maeklong was crowded with tourists from all over the world, and seeing the train up close was a novel experience, though it felt a bit like Donggang in Pingtung. Amphawa Cafe looked like a former royal resort hotel; it's a bit dated and located in a remote area, so the refrigeration equipment wasn't great, and the seafood wasn't very fresh. Drinks are a better option.
A huge thank you to our tour guide and driver for their company throughout the day! The guide was incredibly attentive, and the minivan was brand new and very comfortable! We had a private tour, and we were grateful for their hotel pick-up and drop-off service. We didn't encounter any traffic jams along the way, so we arrived at the Maeklong Railway Station on time to watch the trains arrive. The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market was a truly unique experience; our family of four had a blast on our private boat. At the Instagram-worthy cafe, the guide thoughtfully reserved seats and pre-ordered food for us, allowing us more time to relax and enjoy ourselves! Our guide, Mr. Wang, also took many family photos for us, creating wonderful memories! However, the Maeklong and Floating Markets are quite far from the Instagram-worthy cafe, almost an hour's drive. If we were to also visit the Thonburi Seafood Market, we risked traffic jams and extra charges on the return trip! Since we had already eaten lunch near the Floating Market, to avoid traffic congestion on the return journey, we asked the guide to cancel the Thonburi Seafood Market visit and keep the Instagram-worthy cafe itinerary. On the way back in the evening, we originally planned to go directly to the hotel, but we asked the driver to take us to the Jod Night Market. The tour guide was incredibly attentive and even taught us how to get back to the hotel after the tour! The local Chinese-speaking tour guide and driver provided excellent service. Travelers who are interested in joining this tour should be prepared for traffic jams on the way back if they want to visit all the attractions, otherwise they may be charged extra for exceeding the time limit!
The trip was leisurely and enjoyable. Our guide, Ah-Chung, provided detailed and professional explanations of the sights and helped us find the best photo opportunities. Our driver was also very skilled, making the entire journey very comfortable. The boat tour at Amphawa Floating Market is for watching fireflies; if you want to experience shopping on a boat, you should go to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market!
