Koh Larn

Thank you to our guide, John, and our driver, Tiki, for such a fulfilling day! 😊 We were picked up from Bangkok by minibus at 7am. The meeting point was easy to find, and we were able to meet our driver right away. We had a generous hour and a half at the Sanctuary of Truth, including time for photos with our local guide and some great photos. The intricate craftsmanship and the building's concept were amazing. ⚠️ Please note that revealing clothing is prohibited. 🆖 After that, we took a speedboat from the pier to Koh Larn. 🚤 ⚠️ Upon arriving at Koh Larn, we had to walk a short distance into the sea (about knee-deep) to get to the beach, so we had to take off our shoes. We had about three hours, so we rented a parasailing gear and beach chairs. 🏖️ The swimming area wasn't very large, but the water was clear and beautiful. The restrooms (and changing area) in the restaurant and lockers with padlocks were included in the tour. There was also a paid shower (50 THB). Lunch was around 70-80 THB, and beer was around 120 THB (?). Prices were reasonable, even in a tourist area (cash required). We returned to Pattaya by speedboat around 3pm, then took a bus to the PATTAYA sign, where we were able to see the ocean and take photos. There was a bit of traffic on the way back, so we took a toilet break along the way and returned to Bangkok in about 2.5 hours. The sights are all compactly packed together, so it's especially recommended for first-time visitors to Pattaya! What to bring: Swimsuit, towels (about 2), beach shoes, sunscreen, waterproof case, sunglasses, hat, jacket, etc.

The tour guide was very kind and it was a very enjoyable tour. Lunch included not only instant noodles but also delicious Thai food, which was very satisfying. However, the parasailing only took one round trip around the launch point, and the banana boat only took one round trip from the beach to the open sea, which felt like about three minutes, so it was a bit disappointing, but it was still fun.
