The staff member who led us spoke fluent Chinese, explained things clearly, and was very friendly. Swimming with whale sharks was an amazing experience! Although it was just snorkeling, swimming with the whale sharks through a net, the distance was incredibly close. Of course, if you were diving, you could get even closer. It's recommended to take motion sickness medication beforehand, as although it's only a 15-minute boat ride to the designated area, larger waves can cause seasickness while snorkeling. Our "guide" mentioned that this is probably the only company in Okinawa that can arrange whale shark swims, as keeping a whale shark is very expensive, and this particular whale shark was authorized by the local government. It's advisable to book at least two weeks in advance and to allow for flexibility in your Okinawa itinerary, as the activity date may need to be changed due to unpredictable weather. Overall, I highly recommend this activity!
No need to queue for a long time, you can enter by scanning the code. Except for Dmm, which requires exchanging tickets, everything else is convenient and fast.
It's definitely a worthwhile attraction to visit; adults and children alike will enjoy it. There's even a swing set up at the ticket office, which is great. The restrooms are also very clean. The photo spots are well-planned, and there are even small tables for selfies – fantastic!
The tickets are convenient and can be used immediately after purchase, which is commendable! The Gyokusendo Cave is magnificent and highly recommended for anyone visiting Okinawa; make time to visit it!
