The shuttle bus was so convenient! The boat doesn't dock at the shore but stops right in the middle of the sea! I only participated in snorkeling and didn't have any other activities included, so there was plenty of time for snorkeling. While others were enjoying other water activities, you could freely disembark and snorkel near the boat. Although it was a high-speed boat, the waves were big and the boat rocked a lot, so I still got seasick and threw up. I'd like to remind other passengers to be aware of the risk of seasickness!
08:40 Arrive at the port to fill out forms. Each person receives two forms. Remember to allow ample time if there are many people. There are Chinese-speaking guides. Parking is charged; I took a taxi. 09:20 The ferry departs, arriving at the island around 10:30. 10:40 Transfer to a shuttle bus to Aharen Beach around 11:00. This is free time; you can play in the water at the beach. Shops provide free life jackets, fins, and snorkeling masks. Lockers cost 500 yen per use (unlimited opening and closing). Sun umbrellas and deck chairs cost 2500 yen per use. Free curry rice is available. There are also shops selling drinks nearby. Credit cards are accepted, and there are vending machines. 13:30 Meet up and take the shuttle bus to Togashihisa Beach for snorkeling. They will help take photos and videos; photos are free. Snorkeling lasts approximately 1-1.5 hours. 15:00 Return to the original location to shower and change. Showering is free. There are 3 shower stalls for men; the number for women is uncertain, but both have long queues and take some time. Around 15:40 Meet up and take the bus back to the port. 17:30 Arrive back at Naha Port.
There were about 30 people in this group, so it was a bit crowded on the boat. However, the service quality, the lunch, and the staff's attitude were all very good. We visited three dive sites in total; the water was incredibly clear, and we saw many beautiful corals and different kinds of fish. At the third site, we finally saw sea turtles! They were so cute and not afraid of humans; they even swam to the surface to take pictures for us 😂
This was my first half-day snorkeling trip, and I found it quite efficient, with plenty of time in the sea! It's suitable for tourists without cars, as they offer free pick-up and drop-off in front of the prefectural government building, with many convenient locations. Our group consisted of about two-thirds Korean tourists and seven Japanese tourists in total. We were joined by three others who needed English commentary; the boat provides commentary in Korean, Japanese, and English. The staff were friendly. Although there weren't many corals, there were plenty of fish – definitely worth recommending!
The staff were very friendly, the diving guide was very attentive and safe, and I had a very satisfying experience.
