As a solo traveller I booked a shared tour on the 23 person bus. It was a great size with a good mix of people with other solo travellers as well as groups. The tour guide (Duyen) gave a great overview of locations visited, the historical, cultural and religious importance and norms - giving a deeper awareness for those new to Vietnam. Everything was well explained and the guide’s English was fantastic - clearly explaining and guiding us through the day. She was accommodating to the groups different needs and paced the day well.
The tour was great, but it is, as to be expected, very tourist focused. You could do the day on your own, but going as part of a group makes the whole experience easier. The boat ride was very busy (hundreds of boats) but there were no delays or crowds.
The bus was new, clean and well air conditioned.
Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommended this tour.
This tour was extremely enjoyable. We had lots of fun. Ninh Binh is a beautiful area which is definitely worth seeing. The English tour guide was very friendly and was knowledgeable about the history of the area, so it was a very good learning opportunity. Overall we had a really good time and would recommend this tour to everyone
