Penghu Islands

Originally, I just wanted convenience and figured since I was there, I should at least do some water activities, so I bought a package tour. However, the actual experience far exceeded my expectations. I was amazed by the stunning seascape in Gibe. Only after leaving did I do some research and discovered it's known as the "Maldives of Taiwan." The seawater here is as clear as that of Miyako Island, which is also called the Maldives—I think that title is well-deserved. The locals' hospitality felt like visiting their homes repeatedly. Whether it was renting a motorbike, dining, or accessing water sports facilities, it all felt like being in a secluded community. The friendly service from the locals greatly enhanced the travel experience. Perhaps the only slight drawback of my Gibe experience was that I should have stayed overnight to fully experience it next time.

Arriving early at the Beihai Visitor Center and using electric scooters for water activities definitely means queuing longer than actually enjoying the water, but since you're already there, you're bound to go into the sea! There are changing rooms and showers available, and those not planning to swim can relax in the rest area.
