This tour avoids the hassle of waiting for transportation and the expense of staying in expensive local hotels, allowing for a day trip to Tokyo. Originally, I wanted to go to KKDay Nagano for two days and one night, but the tour was cancelled. Otherwise, I could have stayed at a hot spring hotel, which would have been cheaper. However, it's fortunate that Togakushi Shrine's inner shrine was closed, so not going was a good arrangement. It's important to check the shrine's closure status before departure. The only minor drawback of this tour was that the guide's Japanese-accented English was a bit difficult to understand. The time spent at the Iiyama Snow House could have been longer. I recommend this tour during winter.
The weather was fantastic the day we went, with a clear view of Mount Fuji. The ski resort was also very clean. Our guide, Yuri, provided bilingual commentary and was both gentle and friendly. She responded to messages promptly. I feel like we could have skied even longer without the onsen (hot spring) itinerary, but for beginners, the time was about right. The only downside was that it was the end of the year and the highways on the way back were incredibly congested…
It was our first time here as a group of three women. We were a bit nervous about entering the facility due to its location near Kabukicho Golden Gai, but the facility was clean, the locker rooms were well-equipped, and in addition to the in-house clothing you receive, they also provided a change of clothes. Everything was taken care of, and we had a very relaxing and comfortable time! There are still some things we haven't been able to try out, such as the restaurant, cafe, bar, and rooftop fitness gym, so we'd like to return!
