Cape Kamui, after walking through a dark tunnel, experienced what it means to find a hidden gem – the bright and clear Shimabushi Coast was amazing! Cape Shakutan – one of Hokkaido's three must-see seascapes! I've been to Otaru three times, but I never knew it had a shopping street; I only ever strolled around the riverside art museum. This time, the tour guide arranged for us to dine on our own in Otaru's shopping street, which had a similar feel to Arashiyama's shopping street!
The trip is too rush for shakotan kamui ! It’s will be nice if the revise from one hour to 1.5 hr ! The rest of the location like Otaru canal basically it’s just the shopping street we shall not spend too much time there! Otherwise is perfect . The tour guide TOM not so experience and slow is reaction ! We miss some good photos shooting spot at bus ! May be he is still news( i guess ) and he has try his best with the broken English 😁😁😁
Taking a tour group to Cape Kamui is the most convenient option; the attraction itself is worth the ticket price. Afterwards, you can explore Otaru independently, and you can communicate with your guide to flexibly sign off on your departure to the airport. It's very convenient and saves time.
This trip was incredibly worthwhile! Not only did we get to enjoy the freshest and sweetest sea urchin rice of the season, but we also witnessed the most magnificent strait views! 👍👍👍
Today, our family of two adults and two children participated in a tour of Shakotan Coast, Blue Cave, and Otaru. Our tour leader, Kevin, was incredibly dedicated, preparing numerous introductions to the attractions and Hokkaido's history and culture. He speaks fluent English and Chinese and even took photos for everyone during the tour. We were very lucky to be on his group. The Shakotan coastline was absolutely beautiful, and even the elementary school students were excited about the speedboat trip to the Blue Cave. While the time allotted for activities in Otaru is a bit shorter if you take the boat tour, there's still enough time for a delicious seafood bowl. The biggest advantage was that we didn't have to drive all the way there or book the boat ourselves to enjoy such a wonderful trip.
Our day tour guide, Rou Rou, notified us of the meeting point and contact information before departure, and we could confirm the meeting time throughout the day via a group chat, ensuring the tour went smoothly as planned. The beautiful coastline and Cape Kamui trail are definitely worth the time to explore, and the guide also recommended restaurants where you can quickly enjoy fresh sea urchin. It's a pity we only had limited time in Otaru, but that was a compromise for a day tour!
Thank you to our tour guide, Xiao Hong, for leading us today. The itinerary was excellent, and the scenery of Otaru and Cape Kamui was beautiful. We had a fulfilling and enjoyable day!
