Our tour guide, Kong, was very professional, the driver was very friendly and polite, the crater was breathtaking, the horse meat was better than I expected, and we experienced the Kurokawa natural hot spring.

The tour guide was attentive to the different needs of each traveler, diligently reminding everyone of various important information and attraction details. Although the weather wasn't great and only part of Mount Aso was open, preventing us from fully enjoying the volcano's various angles of view, which was a bit of a shame. We hadn't originally planned to take the Aso Boy Train, but considering our return journey time, we thought the train would be faster and save a lot of time compared to the tour bus, and the price was reasonable. Unexpectedly, we were lucky enough to get excellent seats at the back of the train (some sections run in the opposite direction, so sometimes we were at the front). This carriage only had eight seats, and the view was fantastic – we were very fortunate to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way!

I highly recommend KKday to take your family to Aso and Takachiho for boating. You can grab boating tickets and don't have to worry about transportation. It was our first time on a group tour, and we were worried our elders wouldn't be able to keep up. Our guide from Xinjiang, Daisy, was incredibly good at problem-solving, and we loved her pace! 🩷🩷🩷 This experience was a joy for my family and made the tour leader very proud. Plus, the Aso milk ice cream she recommended was absolutely delicious!

The app's emails, which were in Chinese, could use some improvement, but I received one in Japanese three days before the trip. We were supposed to meet near the bus rotary at Hakata Chikushiguchi and head for the yellow flags, but when we got there, there were a lot of people with yellow flags. I checked with one of them, and he was fluent in English, Japanese, and Chinese, directing us. Since the tour is run by a Chinese company, the tour conductor was a Chinese national, Mr. You, a 10-year veteran guide. When we gathered in the medium-sized bus, we realized we were the only two Japanese people there—everyone else was foreign. Conversely, we were treated specially, sitting in the front row. The tour was a speedy, efficient day trip. I imagined a Japanese travel agency would have allowed a little more time, but the time was perfectly timed. However, after the trip, I realized they were trying to accommodate foreigners, since they couldn't always visit at their leisure, by showing us as many places as possible. At the iconic Takachiho waterfall in Miyazaki, we even enjoyed rowing our own boat. I couldn't paddle well, so I plunged into a waterfall. Getting wet was a good memory. The Miyazaki beef for lunch was seriously delicious.
