Where Is Yangyang?

via Yangyang County

Yangyang or Yangyang-gun is a county on the coast of Gangwon-do. It is an off-the-beaten-track beach destination, headlined by Hajodae Beach featuring a soft sandy beach and rock formations.

Other than its many beach attractions, it also has a great local scene — traditional markets, beautiful temples, and delicious delicacies.

It is home to Yangyang International Airport, which also serves the neighboring Gangneung and Sokcho. It only takes two hours from Yangyang to Seoul by bus.
