Day 1: Fes → Ifrane → Ziz Valley → Merzouga
Start your journey with a drive from Fes to Merzouga, stopping in Ifrane, a clean alpine-style town. Continue through the cedar forest, where you might spot monkeys, and enjoy lunch in Midelt. Drive through the scenic Ziz Valley before arriving in Merzouga. Spend the night in a hotel near the dunes.
Day 2: Explore Desert → Camel Trek → Camp
Spend a relaxed day exploring the desert. Visit nomads and desert villages, explore the black desert and fossils by 4x4 desert tour. In the evening, embark on a camel trek into Erg Chebbi, watch the sunset, and enjoy dinner and music at a desert camp.
Day 3: Full Desert Experience (2nd night in Sahara)
Enjoy a full day in the desert with no long drives. Go sandboarding, walk in the dunes, visit an oasis, or relax at the camp. Spend a second night in the desert, either in the camp or at a hotel for added comfort.
Day 4: Merzouga → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley
Watch the sunrise in the desert before heading to Rissani. Visit the impressive Todra Gorge with its towering cliffs, then continue to the Dades Valley. Spend the night in a hotel in the Dades Valley.
Day 5: Dades → Aït Ben Haddou → Agadir
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Ben Haddou, pass through Ouarzazate, and cross the Anti-Atlas mountains. Optionally stop in Taroudant before arriving in Agadir in the evening.
