Audio-guided driving tour through Capitol Reef National Park

Meeting point description: If you arrive from west, the tour begins at the junction of Highway 24 and Highway 12. If you arrive from east, you should follow Highway 24, driving westbound from Hanksville. Approximately 20 minutes after leaving Hanksville, the commentary will begin as you approach the eastern boundary of the Park. However, you can also join the tour at any point along the route and pick up commentary at the next stop.

Know in advance:This is an audio-guided self-driving tour; there will be no physical person guiding you, nor transportation

You'll receive a confirmation email with all the instructions to install the GuideAlong (GyPSy Guide) App and download the tour. It's suggested to download it before your arrival in the location

The tour requires a supported mobile device for navigation: an iPhone running iOS 15 or later, an Android device running Android 9 or later, or an iPad/tablet with GPS and cellular service

The visit to Capitol Reef National Park's major landmarks will take a couple of hours, but it's suggested to take an entire day to fully explore the park

The total driving distance of the park routes is around 50 miles

The Grand Wash Road is accessible only to vehicles under 27 feet (8.2m) long
