The dimensions of the Port of Hamburg are impressive and second only to Rotterdam, the largest port in Europe. Hardly another city in the world is so tied to its port and because of this, it allowed Hamburg to truly develop. The most important sights and the skyline are inextricably linked to the port.

Experience the contrast between past and present, commerce and culture, the little fishing town along the Elbe and the state-of-the-art container complexes, sinful stretches and the fish market, old cutters and massive cruise and container ships. The live commentary is in German. The audio guide's English commentary is accessible via the free Rainer Abicht mobile app. (You must download the app in advance and obtain the access code on site.)
